Earthing Pipes – Uses and Features...

Author: onlinecatalogs Published: 03.24.2012| Category Home and Family
What is Earthing? Earthing can be defined as a connection of “ exposed conductive parts” of an electrical circuit to earth in order to protect a user from shock or electrocution. It is carried out by connecting the chassis of the electrical equipment with an earth pin on the main power outlet and then joining the wiring of the building to an electrically solid earth point. The earth point is generally a copper pipe or a stake which is buried deep into the ground. Earthing, also known as Grounding, can be divided into two main categories that are Conventional Earthing and Maintenance Free Earthing. Conventional Earthing can be done using GI Plates, Copper Earthing Pipes, Copper Plates and Cast Iron Plates. Whereas Maintenance Free Earthing is ready made, standardized, scientifically developed, easy to install and has a longer life. Earthing Pipes Pipe earthing is the best form of earthing which is highly cost effective. In Pipe Earthing, a galvanized iron, copper or copper plated steel pipe (of approved length & diameter) is buried vertically in the earth to which all electrical equipments of an establishment, office or industry are connected by wires. To reduce the resistivity & moisture content of soil, the pit where the Earthing Pipe is placed is filled with salt & charcoal in appropriate proportion. Earthing Pipes are generally used in places where bedrock is beyond a depth of 3 meters (10 feet). The main purposes of the Pipe Earthing System are over voltage protection, voltage stabilization and to facilitate the operation of over current devices. Pipe Earthing provides protection from electrical shock in case of insulation damage in an electrical equipment. These pipes are used in critical earthing operations in Domestic Sector, Commercial Complexes and in various power transmission, electrical and electronic applications. These pipes are resistant to environmental conditions and offer low electrical resistance which is required for a good earthing system. Copper-clad steel pipes are most preferred for earthing as steel core provides strength to withstand the driving force and the copper provides resistance against corrosion. Innovative designed as per the latest domain standards & norms, these Earthing Pipes are available in different shapes, sizes and dimensions as per the application requirement. Outstanding Features of Earthing Pipe: Rugged construction Durable finish standards Precise dimensions Hassle free and durable performance Rust proof Resistance against corrosion & wear Low maintenance Easy Installation Robust construction Corrosion resistant Customized designs These earthing pipes are produced as per client requirement and within the time committed to them.

In modern or commercial vehicles, axles are most commonly used internal component which serves multiple requirements which include driving, braking, gearing and steering functions. Overtime, the designed of axle has been modified, to suits the requirement and to ensures an appropriate level of structural support. An axle is fixed straight shaft, which is usually used to mount rotating wheels or gears. An axle can be connected with vehicle by either of two ways, It can be simply fixed to the wheels by using bushing or bearing. Or, in other way, it can be mount to its surrounding parts by fixing bearing and bushing in center of the wheel, thereby connecting two wheels to allow it to rotate without effecting the axle. In vehicles, axle plays a significant role in keeping the wheels in right position. The main purpose of using axle is to secure the fixed position of wheel and gear, by transmitting the torque or braking and acceleration force away from the wheels. Axles are also used to bear the weight of the vehicle and the cargo, as well as to balance the force and speed of the vehicle and prevent wheel to bend and become flat. Without an axle, the wheels of vehicle would not functions in proper manner. Further, axle also helps in maintaining the alignment of wheels. Types Broadly classified in two types, i.e., Live or Dead. Former, means these types of axles moves with the rotation of the wheels, or revolve with the wheels. Live axles are mainly used in modern cars, having rear wheels as driving wheels. Whereas, dead axles are stationary axles and hence, doesn\'t revolve with the movement of the wheels. Live axles are further classified as follows: Semi Float - These types of axle are designed which carry the weight and rotational torque of vehicles on the shaft itself. There is a separate shaft\'s housing outside the bearing and axle through which axle rotates and carries the entire weight of vehicle. In this design, axle itself act as inner bearing race, which is suitable for lighter trucks or passenger vehicles like buses. They have the capacity to bear weight maximum of 1/2 tons. Three quarter floating axles- These types of axles have shafts which are supported by wheels to form a rigid unit with the shaft and depend on it for alignment. It is almost similar to the semi-floater, in three quarter floating axle, weight and rotational torque is bear by the outer bearing of the shaft axle which is mounted between the axle housing and hubs. Three-quarter floating are also used in light commercial vehicles. But, with the improvement in designs, materials and fabrication techniques it was being replaced by semi float axles, as latter are simple in design and cheap. Full Float axles- In these types of axle, bearing is places outside the housing which results in transmitting of vehicle\'s weight on the axle housing from the axle. Full float also absorbs all type of rotational torque and stress. This design of axle is suitable for most heavy trucks and these are costly also. trailer axles

Animal hides are tough in their raw form, however, would decay rather rapidly unless they are processed and tanned. Leather tanning is the process of using chemicals like Leather Tanning Chemicals, Chrome Leather Tanning Chemical, Leather Finishing Chemicals, etc., to alter the protein structure of the raw animal hide to make it more lasting, and more durable. There are majorly four levels involved in tanning process with the help of leather Chemicals. At first, the hide is prepared by removing any remaining flesh and fat and then applying one of different ways to remove hair fibers with the help of Basic Leather Chemical. After that, the hide is treated with chemicals like Sodium Nitrates, Casein, Acid Leather Dyes to transform the proteins permanently. Then, the hide is further treated with various chemical agents and dyes to develop the leather for its intended end product. Lastly, the leather is given a finishing treatment to its surface. Additionally, there are different types of tanned leathers. Vegetable-tanned leather is treated with tannin and other chemicals(Leather Tanning Chemicals) found in vegetable sources. Tannin from tree bark was the vital ingredient of an ancient method, which led to the term tanning. This technique of tanning leather results in a supple and brownish colored leather. It brings forth leather which can be easily carved or stamped as with belts, however it has the disadvantage of being unstable in water. Modern Usage of Leather Chemicals As a matter of fact, today most of the leather products are already pre-treated by using different leather chemicals like Auxiliaries Leather Chemicals, Leather Binders, etc., to protect it against water and other liquid materials. However, there are some who haven\'t the treatment yet, and will surly be in their best interest to treat the leather by yourselves. One should go for natural cleaning products and protectorates that don\'t contain harmful chemicals so that our environment would be safe. Well, on of the best ways to clean leather is to care for leather products and do the adequate maintenance. If at any given point in time you need to try and take of a stain that appeared, it\'s advised to seek a professional assistance as they can go ahead with cleaning through Leather Cleaning Chemicals. These process will clean leather using specific tools and chemicals to ensure the stain gets away without running the leather.
